any ideas for inventions for a science project?

My son has a science class where he has to submit an invention?? he has to make the product or item for the invention so it cannot be very difficult -- he is in the 5th grade and is 11 years old.. and I am not very creative.. any ideas.. help with ideas for inventions?????
