ew...weird BUG in my ROOM?

ew....can u tell me wut this bug is?

so just now (1 minute ago) i saw this bug crawling on my floor.
i am terrified of insects so i didnt wana let it go, or else i'd itch all night and think its on me.
sooo i took i went a little closer (not that close) to get a better look.
-it looked lke a baby cockroach...i think?
-greyish/coal/blackish....?
-hard outside (exoskeleton???)
-little legs, hardly visible
-the bug was about the size of an average sized capsule pill
-had an upper hard outside (the head)
-and a longer hard body

so i grab my shoes to kill it...its on carpet so it just crushes it a little...lol
so then i obviously did damage cuz when i lifted the shoe it was like...popping?..
like clicking and bouncing around. i think its because i crushed its hard outside
so the head and the body were clacking together and it was bouncing about an inch up...dying..

so then i try to crush it more and notice these clear/white little wings poping out from under..
...it was rlly gross...
what is itttt???

any bug experts?

its body looked sort of like this BUT it was wayyyy smaller. a different color. and the legs werent big. the bug was small. this is just to show wut i mean about its outer shell

I think it's a click beetle. IDK the real name of the bug but that's what people call them because when you touch them they jump and click.

No, it's not a click beetle; it's a scarab beetle. I can't say which one because the family is very large and many members closely resemble each other, at least superficially. Rose chafers and June beetles are examples of scarab beetles.
