Hello,
Numerology dates back to Pythagoras (born 6th Century B.C.E), who was a one of the first pure mathematicians of his day and who was also a keen philosopher. Whilst he did not actually invent Numerology as it is practiced today, he did originate the formula from a mathematical point of view which has formed the basic foundation that Numerology still uses today. Although there were no scriptures from Pythagoras himself a lady called Mrs L.Dow.Balliett ( early 20th century) has been credited heavily for her involvement with this rather intriguing metaphysical science and for its popularity, along with Julia Steton, Juno Jordan, Florence Campbell to name but a few.
The numbers in Numerology are from 1-9 and then all double digits are reduced to a single digit (with the exclusion of the Master Numbers 11 & 22, 33, 44). The 0 also has a meaning as do all the double-digits that are reduced as they are referred to as the compound number, so a 15/6 would be slightly different from a 24/6 or a 33/6 for example.
In Numerology Numbers are assigned to the alphabet as in the order they appear so A=1, B=2, C=3, D=4 etc.... all double digits are also further reduced accordingly so L=12 which reduces to 3, M=13 which reduces to a 4 and so on.
The Numbers all have specific characteristics and when combined within a Numerological reading can offer great insight to a person’s personality profile and vibrational influences as in prediction forecasts.

The Number 4 - D & M
The Rock whose loyalty brings all the other numbers stability with its down-to-earth practicality in a world that is full of opposing forces. Must watch not to loose its realism when all the other numbers are loosing theirs.
The Number 5 - The Letters E, N & W
The Adventurer explores the unknown and brings it to all the other numbers for approval. Must watch not to be too much of a free spirit if it is to put down any long-term roots.
The Number 6 - The Letters F, O & X
The Parent who looks after and adopts all the other numbers into one big family unit. Must watch not to demand and dedicate too much from them - or it will not gather together but break apart the bond that is so desperately needed in the world.
The Number 7 - Letters G, P & Y
The Teacher & The Student who gathers knowledge to pass onto all the other numbers. Must watch not to become too immersed within its own mind and mental processing ability or isolation will drown its own purpose.
The Number 8 - The Letters H, Q & Z
The Executor of material values and assets and one who looks after and deals with the ebb and flow of wealth and power on behalf of itself and all the other numbers. Must watch not too become too greedy or life will take away what has been previously given.
The Number 9 - The Letters I & R
The Sacrificial Lamb who puts all the other numbers before its own needs and self. Must watch not to become immersed in its own martyrdom or it will be engulfed by the world and forgotten by it.
The Number 11 - The Letter K
The Orb who is the messenger on behalf of heaven and/or hell to all the other numbers. Must watch the balance and keep clear the responsibility of its actions and thoughts.
The Number 22 - The Letter V
The Conduit who gathers inspiration from all the other numbers and puts it into constructive action everywhere. Must learn that its power is generated by others and to others it must give it back to if insanity is not to consume its ideal.
The beauty about Numerology and the Numbers is that their meaning stays the same where ever they appear, be it the first letter in the name (cornerstone|); first vowel, last letter of first name (capstone) or within one of the Core Aspects such as the Life Path; Birthday; Expression Soul Urge or Outer Personality Numbers. They also represent to a person the type of experiences available at any one time as described above when vibrating to them as on a Personal Year, Universal Year, Essence/ Transit Number, Pinnacle or Cycle Period.
That's how magical Numerology really is.
I hope this answers your question.
Kind Regards
Karen Foster
