It will not be possible to revive an individual neuron which has died. The body does have some mechanisms for nerve regeneration (see the reference). It has been believed that this doesn't happen in the brain. But there is some evidence that it might, under certain circumstances. When that happens, it's new neural tissue available for new function, not a replacement for a dead neuron that reinstates its connections. Is that what you're asking?
