This is the same as the speed of light. Dark is simply the relative absence of light. The sun could stop shining and we would not know for like eight minutes. (Not that the sun would just stop shining, but use your imagination.)

The speed of light is 186,282.397 miles per second.

The speed of dark is faster. It's so fast human refuses to measure it.

If you want to be the first to measure it, go for it.
