I live in India.I want to know is it o.k to use a 1.25 ton air conditioner in this room? Will it work fine in summer with temp 40 - 45°C?
Details about Room below :-
13 (width) x 12 (length) = 156 sq.ft (Room height is 10 feet)
Its a single floor room with no floors above, so its roof gets direct sunlight.Room has a computer, tv, refrigerator, fan.Has 1 window but always closed.
Note: I want to use little low tonnage to save power.

All that would happen is the smaller unit will run for longer periods, but it should in the long run cool just as well.

Will it save you money? Depends. It runs longer, that drives your cost up. If your outside humidity is high, then the longer run time will reduce the humidity inside. That will make you just as comfortable at a higher temperature. So, your actual run times might be shorter.

The general rule of thumb in high humidity climate is undersize the unit a little

yes , is it right if u use 1.25 ton ac because your room is not big enough and have no floor so u can rightly depend on 1.25 ton ac rather using 1.5 ton ac , in 1.25 ton u can save more power than 1.50 ton ac
