Fractions? When you are nine, your tenth year on earth comprises one tenth of your experience of life, and is a huge piece of your memories, learning, etc. It may seem that you learned a lot, and a lot of new things happen to you, and all those memories add up to make it seem like that year was a long time.
When you are twenty-nine, your thirtieth year is only 1/30 of your life, and for most people, I think it is safe to say that you learn less, experience relatively fewer new things, etc. Even if you do have a 'new year' it's still only a small part of your whole life, and may seem like it went by quickly, since you don't have as many new memories of what happened.

That is a great question, but the answer may not be the same for all people. Just as a grandfather clock measures time by counting events, the swinging of a pendulum, people can also mark the passing of time by tracking events. An infant or even a three year old has few regular events to mark time. A teenager can mark time by the days of school. An adult can mark time by the days of work, bills arriving in the mail, social events, kid's problems, etc., etc. etc. Whenever there is never enough time to get everything done, time really flies. Enjoy it while you can.

Its an illusion. Our moon is moving further and further away very slowly so our days are actually getting longer by a very small amount. Time is created in the minds of intelligent lifeforms like ourselves. Think about it like this...there's no time for the trees and oceans. Time is literally "relative to the rate at which you're moving"...sounds complicated but it really isn't. Future time travel is very possible when you start to travel toward the speed of light, then time actually slows down. If you were to go off and see the galaxy and you're going at the speed of light (186,000 miles per second) time would slow down for you. After a while you would have only aged say 2 years, then you come back to earth with some awsome stories to tell and you would find that THOUSANDS of years have gone by! Our time is the speed that we're going aroung the sun...I know WAY too much info! Hope you're answer was somewhere in there tho
