Lightning cannot replace anything, because they are extremely brief. They carry a lot of power but very little energy.
Eolic is the way to go. There is enough wind power to meet world wide demand many times over.

The other answer is correct about the terawatt. Average world energy consumption is about 15 terawatts. That means 15 lightning strikes could power the world. If they were continuous and could be harnessed. But each does that for only 30 microseconds. Do the math. It means you need about 10 trillion lightning strikes to power the world. Does that answer your question?

The average peak power output of a single lightning stroke is about one trillion watts
— one terawatt (1012 W).
